I have to say, tonight was really fun. I am exhausted because I cleaned house all morning before they came. But it wasn't as crazy and stressful as it usually was. I guess that's because I did a ton over the two days so mom didn't have to do as much and it wasn't as rushed. Or...that I had the time to do it all! So I cleaned the downstairs...polished the piano and took a ton of junk off it and it looks beautiful I must say! I dusted the entire room (mainly the TV unit which was covered!), reorganized the DVD's and VHS's, vacuumed and swept. And cleaned out the black and white bathroom too. Then vacuumed some more upstairs and also finished off my cheesecake and set the table. The house looks beautiful! :-) Mom is really happy. And I'm really happy because she is really happy. So the McMurdo's arrived and we sat in the living room and chatted for a bit and then had dinner. Which was wonderful! Mom made lasagna and lots of it so everyone got plenty! (Even all those boys who had at least two servings each!) Then we all went downstairs and Caleb and Joel got to meet Sadie...then we put the dogs away. Then we all played Tabo for a while. Girls vs. Guys. We played several rounds and the guys won by 1 point! But it wasn't like super competitive so it was just really fun. Peter and Brynn kept arguing about the rules but it was no big deal. It was really fun. Then we had the cheesecake I made and I had a wonderful time making a mess of cutting the pieces. haha But it turned out pretty good! Then we all came back downstairs and watched two episodes of The Office since none of them had seen it. We were all laughing SO hard. I believe Caleb is going to go download (or buy) a season or two of it. haha Then we all just chilled and chatted and everyone told stories or embarrassing stories and such. And I also got the chance to show Caleb the album I had made over a year ago for him! He thought it was pretty "sweet" as he said. haha
But yeah, it was a really nice and fun evening! I love hanging out with people. The movie with the Holmes the other night was fun too. I liked National Treasure alot! So I still don't know what I am doing for New Years. Probably am just staying home with the family or something. But that wouldn't be that bad. So we'll see. I can't believe it's almost 2008. Wow.
Well I'm pretty darn tired and it's almost midnight. So I'll end this here. I have lots I could say though. Have a lot on my mind right now...many things I've been thinking on. Maybe another blog on those thoughts another time. Goodnight.
