Anne's Memorial

So this morning was the funeral for Mindy Sauerlender's mom, Anne. So I picked up Jean and got to the church by 10am. We were in charge of desserts. We got them all cut (brownies/cakes) and put out on plates nicely and all ready to go. The service started at 11am. It went till 12:30pm and was a wonderful service. I headed down a few minutes early to prepare the punch (since I was the punch girl). The church was packed! And we ran out of punch wayyy to quickly. They had the food catered but still there was lots to do. It really was a celebration rather then a funeral, which is what everyone said she wanted. But yeah, so tons of food! And busy cleaning dishes, refilling cookies and punch as long as the punch lasted. There was tons of food left over. I only just got home at 3:30pm. I am exhausted! We were going to go to granddad and Jeans for dinner but instead she is just making us dinner and bringing it over since mom is sick. And mom wanted to try to see a movie but I'm too tired and she's sick so that won't happen. I guess I coulda gone to Christ Church's dance...but all I want to do is sleep right now. But I'm watching the rest of the Husky's game. At least I get to see the last half.

That's all for now. Too tired to focus. But overall it was a wonderful memorial service, just tiring when you are the one serving. Haha But I like serving.
