So I thought I would write a blog since it's been a while since I actually sat down and wrote one (besides posting photos!) And I know its getting kind of late, at least for me and that my boyfriend is going to comment about how late it was when I posted this but...thats ok. I'm in a writing mood right now and don't know what to do with myself so here I am!
As some of my previous posts have entailed, it was Evan's Birthday on Saturday and he turned twenty! So cool! :-) And so...we celebrated it together on Sunday which also happened to be the anniversary of us dating for four months. So he came down here and I planned the day out and he really had no clue what we were doing. It started with lunch with the family which was nice. Had hot dogs. Haha And then we went down to the Redondo beach with a blanket, bible, notepad and pen! I had told him about how when I was in middle school the teachers challenged us to read Acts in two weeks and write down a list of all the miracles we find in Acts. And so I thought that would be really encouraging for us to do together and of course he loved the idea! So we went down and only read a couple chapters cause we kept getting distracted, but thats ok because the point was for us to be together and focusing on the Lord, which is what we did! I got burned, the shape of a V on my back because my dress went into a V on my back. Then we headed to Blockbuster and rented August Rush (I knew he'd love it) and went home and watched it! After the movie ended he was instructed to hang downstairs by himself and I sent daddy down to keep him company. Then I ran around and got everything together! I had set up a table at the bottom of our yard with a candle and music playing and christmas lights on the bushes and even sparkling cider in one of those things you always put wine in to chill it at the table. And had the firepit set up. Made him Lasagna and Cheesecake and also planned to roast smores. Then told him to follow me! Walked down there and he was very confused. And I must say, his reaction was the best ever!! haha :-) So we had a wonderful romantic dinner and he even made me slow dance with him! And we had fun roasting marshmellows and trying to start the fire with one match and 5 napkins. Then we watched the sunset. :-) It was a wonderful evening.
Oh yes, and the beginning of the date was fun too. He arrives and the dogs go nuts and my dad is by the door trying to take the dogs outside for their walk. And he looks at me then back and the dogs and my dad, and looks at me again...then double takes and looks and goes, “You cut your hair!!!” Yes, best reaction ever. I think I liked it more that he didn't even notice at first. So cool.
So work is going awesome. I love it. I can't believe I get paid to paint posters and do studies on the bible. And I love working with kids! The more I do it, the more I fall in love with doing it. And I'm really learning SO much. I can't even explain and the Lord just keeps showing me more and more things and giving me more and more passion for this ministry. The Lord is SO good.
So I have a little advertisment. If you live in the area of Federal Way/Des Moines...etc. And are free any night from Sunday-Friday from 6:30pm-9pm (roughly) then you should come to Park of the Pines. They have weekly conferences with a different speaker every week of the summer. The speakers are AMAZING! John Ward spoke last week and I was so upset I only was able to go one night and hear him once because he was so good. I'm going to download his sermons (www.gracebiblechurchparkway.org & www.path-inc.org). But it is a wonderful ministry that needs to stay alive! I only wish I was able to go every night! The teaching is wonderful and it is solid. It is in depth study of the bible – digging deep into the word. I love it! My grandparents go almost every night!

Anyways, off to bed for me. Well...here are a few new hair pictures first:
