So since the last time I wrote a blog...a lot of stuff has been going on! I've photographed 7 weddings this month, which has been A BLAST! One of which (from my previous post) was Thatcher and Laura's wedding. I've known Thatcher since...forever! Him and Peter were friends growing up in our neighborhood and he's been like one of my big brothers (along with Thomas). So it really was an honor to be able to photograph his wedding. They were so much fun, and Laura is simply a sweetheart. It was exciting to be a part of seeing them start their lives together. So Thatcher flew me down to L.A. in order to shoot the wedding and I ended up staying in a hotel with his sister, Deb (I shot her and her husband's engagement photos). Peter came too and was in the wedding. So we were planning on going to Disney Land on Thursday when we got there, but of course getting our rental car took an hour and a half! So we decided to go Friday morning to Disney Land. Well, Thursday night Peter went to the bachelor party and I went to the bachelorette party. So I ended up driving the rental car (which I wasn't supposed to be driving). In the morning I had to find my way back to Thatcher's house, proceeded to get lost in L.A. for two hours and eventually just parked at some park and waited for Peter to come find me since he had internet and I didnt! So that morning didn't start very well.
But we made it to Disney Land, and it was really fun! My favorite of course was Space Mountain. We didn't get to go on a ton of rides because we were only there for like 5 hours. I definitely want to go back on a trip JUST to go to Disney Land because we definitely didn't have enough time to do everything I wanted to do.
Anyways, L.A. was fun. The wedding was beautiful. :-)
So Dirk is gone at camp, haven't seen him since last Thursday. :-( But I'm excited because I'm going up to Whidbey Island tomorrow because he gets the morning off (he's cabin leading for Jr. TCL) and so we are going to go into Langly and hang out. :-) And then he comes back on Saturday and we have Day Camp meetings all day. And then Day Camp all week (he works in the evenings too) and THEN we are both cabin leading for Jr. High Camp! So basically we don't realllly get to spend any time together outside of being at camps for the next two weeks. :-( So I'm bummed. But we'll get to see lots of each other once we go back to school. haha
I'm really excited for Day Camp! We have around 70 kids (we had 50 last week...Praise the Lord!). And it is going to be AWESOME! I'm going into the church today to do some painting. So yeah.
Here are some photos from last Wednesday when Dirk and I hung out. We randomly drove around Tacoma and went to some park (I don't remember the name of it) and...it was awesome!
